Questions
What can I do with a certificate in meditation?

Many Gaja Certified Meditation Instructors start businesses teaching meditation in person and online: in schools, universities, wellness centers, hospitals and private centers; one-on-one, in groups or on retreats. Doctors, chiropractors, yoga instructors, coaches and therapists integrate it into their existing work.

How do I become a certified meditation instructor?

A strong personal practice, high-quality training and real experience guiding others. In this 16-week online training you study Vedic philosophy, learn how to structure sessions and practice teaching with feedback from Gaja faculty. Complete the modules, assignments and practicum and you earn the Gaja Meditation Instructor Certification.

How long does the training take?

16 weeks. Most students spend 6–10 hours a week on faculty teachings, self-paced lessons, guided practice, assignments and practice teaching, and balance it with a full-time job or family life.

Can I really get my meditation teacher certification online?

Yes. Live and recorded teachings, guided practices, community sessions and supervised teaching experiences give you the rigor and support of an in-person training with the flexibility to study from home.

Do I need experience to become a meditation instructor?

No prior teaching experience is needed, but you should have a personal meditation practice and a genuine desire to support others. The training starts with foundations and builds your skills in speaking, holding space and guiding groups, with frameworks, scripts and feedback.

Is meditation teacher training a good second career?

For many students it becomes a meaningful second career or next chapter. It complements healthcare, education, coaching, yoga and other helping professions, or forms the core of a new small business, and the part-time online format lets you complete it while still working.

Does this certification combine wisdom traditions and modern science?

Yes. It teaches Vedic philosophy and mantra meditation, mindfulness and witnessing awareness, and the Eight Limbs of Yoga alongside the research on how meditation affects the mind, body and nervous system, so you can teach with both authenticity and credibility.
